Steven M. Krause was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 26, 1953. He was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 1978 and practices in all Federal and State Courts, and Administrative Tribunals.
He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Detroit in 1975 and the Thomas M. Cooley School of Law in Lansing, Michigan in 1978. He is a member of Phi Alpha Delta.
He is a member of The Commission on Lawyer Conduct for the Supreme Court of South Carolina and has served on the Judicial Qualifications Committee for the South Carolina Bar Association (2002-2005; Chairman, 2003-2005). Mr. Krause is also a member of the American Bar Association, the South Carolina Bar Association, the Anderson County Bar Association and the South Carolina Trial Lawyers Association, where he served as President from 1995 through 1996. He is a member of the American Association for Justice and was the Association's Delegate from South Carolina from 1996-2002. He is also a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and has been certified as a Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. Other memberships include the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, the American Board of Trial Advocates and Trial Lawyers for Public Justice, SC Council for Conflict Resolution and Inns of Court. Mr. Krause's areas of practice include personal injury, worker's compensation, civil litigation, medical malpractice, product liability, insurance disputes and criminal defense.
